As we prepare for our End of Year Concert, it's exciting to see how much the children have learned and grown through their weekly dance classes. Each week, they practice their routines, which helps them develop their dance skills and learn about the importance of practice, teamwork, and performing.
To help your child shine at the concert, it's important for them to attend all their scheduled classes between now and the concert. This will ensure they have plenty of time to rehearse and feel confident on stage.
If your child needs to miss a class for any reason, please let us know in advance by contacting our reception. Thank you for your support and cooperation in making this a memorable event for everyone!
CONCERT MEMORABILIA
Due to copyright and privacy laws, NO photos or videos are allowed to be taken in the theatre during the show.
VIDEOS
We engage the services of a Professional Videographer. All parents will receive a digital download of their dancers show included as a part of your concert levy fee. All parents will be emailed a log in which will enable you to view and download the concert videos at home. Yes it is yours to keep!
If you have recently changed emails, please drop us an email at [email protected] to ensure we have an up to date email address for you and you don’t miss out.
ON STAGE PHOTOS
We engage the services of a Professional Photographer who will be taking on stage photos of all shows. Please be aware that they are “live on stage” images and there is no way to guarantee that photos will be taken of each individual child. The link to purchase photos will be provided at a later date once editing has been completed.
DROP OFF & PICK UP
We ask you to Arrive ½ hour early (that’s 9:00am for Show 1 or 11:30am for show 2 - please NO earlier)
We ask that one parent/guardian come to the drop off and pick up area.
Students need to have their hair done and costume on before being dropped off. Please put their arm bands on their right arm.
Make sure all items are named including shoes and water bottle.
Please leave all jewellery at home.
On the concert day, Take your dancer to the Civic Theatre on Boundary Street, and around the back of the theatre is the drop off area. There is a map to refer to on the concert website.
From here we will take the dancers into the theatre so you can go take your seat and watch the show. Sorry no parents are able to come into the performers area before or during the performance.
While back stage, we have a number of teachers and senior students to entertain (disco, colouring in and crafts), help with shoe changes and monitor all our little stars.
Be sure your dancer eats before the performance as no food is allowed in the backstage area.
After the performance, we kindly ask that only one parent make their way to the Green Room entrance, located beside Door 1 (auditorium access), to collect your dancer. You will be guided through the corridor to the backstage area, where small groups of parents will be allowed through at a time to ensure a smooth and calm collection process. This approach helps prevent overcrowding and ensures our young dancers are comfortable and not overwhelmed during pick-up.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS
If your child has any Medical Conditions that may require attention whilst in our care or are carrying any medication with them, please notify our supervisors.

READY SET DANCE
Girls - Jazz/Ballet shoes OR Tap shoes with white ankle socks
Boys - Jazz shoes OR Tap shoes with white ankle socks
READY SET BALLET
Girls- Ballet shoes with white ankle socks
Boys- Ballet Shoes with white ankle socks
PRESCHOOL ACRO No shoes - wear slides to theatre
HAIR
Girls - Slick middle part, two high buns.
Boys - neat and tidy hair.
MAKEUP
Make up is not necessary for this age group, but you are welcome to add a little colour on the Lips.
JEWELLERY AND NAIL POLISH
No Jewellery is to be worn (including earrings), please leave all jewellery at home and please remove all nail polish.
WHAT TO BRING
FOOD & DRINK
In line with venue rules there is to be NO food in dressing rooms. Please bring a labelled water bottle ONLY.
PACKING CHECKLIST
It is suggested that students bring a clear plastic ziplock bag for dance shoe changes, please label both the shoes and bag. Every year we have many pairs of dance shoes lost that are never claimed. Please use the following checklist:
Costume & arm bands (wear on arrival)
Shoes - Clear ziplock bag for dance shoes if second pair required.
Water bottle
